BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound 157) is a lab-made peptide – a tiny chain of just 15 amino acids copied from a natural protective protein found in human stomach (gastric) juice. It was discovered in the 1990s and gets its name because it’s the 157th fragment of that larger ‘body protection compound.’ Unlike most peptides, it’s super stable in harsh stomach acid (it lasts over 24 hours), so it can even be taken by mouth.
Think of BPC-157 as your body’s ‘repair crew boss.’ It doesn’t just mask problems, it signals cells to fix damage faster and smarter.
How it works:
– Triggers new tiny blood vessels to grow (angiogenesis) so healing nutrients and oxygen rush to the injury site.
– Boosts repair cells called fibroblasts (especially in tendons) by increasing growth hormone receptors and activating pathways like FAK-paxillin.
– Calms inflammation, reduces oxidative stress, and modulates nitric oxide (NO) for better blood flow without the bad side effects.
– Helps cells migrate, multiply, and survive at the damaged spot.
– Fast healing of tendons, ligaments, muscles, bones, and wounds, even in tough cases like torn Achilles or corticosteroid-damaged tissue.
– Gut repair: protects and heals the stomach/intestine lining (ulcers, leaky gut, IBD-like damage from NSAIDs or stress).
– Pain and inflammation relief: raises pain thresholds and shifts immune cells to ‘heal’ mode.
– Nerve and brain protection: helps after injury or stroke models; balances neurotransmitters.
– Blood vessel and organ protection: counters damage from toxins or poor circulation.
In short: It makes your body heal like it’s in ‘super-recovery mode.’
BPC-157 looks exceptionally safe in animal studies (no lethal dose found even at massive amounts, no organ toxicity).
In the few human pilots: No serious side effects reported. People tolerated it well.
What some users or sources mention (usually mild and rare):
– Injection-site irritation, redness, or mild swelling.
– Occasional nausea, dizziness, fatigue, or headache (anecdotal).
There are no official medical guidelines because it’s not FDA approved – these are common protocols from clinics, user reports, and animal-to-human scaling.
Reconstitute 2ml BAC water into 10mg Vial. See Reconstiution Guide
Typical dose:
-500 mcg (micrograms) per day, often split into 1-2 doses. Draw 10 units in 1ml syringe (0.1ml) for 500mcg, 5 units for 250mcg.10mg will last 20 days.
Cycling:
– 4-6 weeks on, followed by 2-4 weeks off (some extend to 6-12 weeks on + longer break).
– For acute injuries: Use until healed (often 2-4 weeks).
– Many cycle it with TB-500 for extra synergy.
